Oh nice! I had a circa 2005 or so Kia Forte that we drove into the ground and a 2011 Kia Sorento that we drove for ten years and then sold for 4K when I got promoted to DC and was fortunate enough to get assigned a take home Tahoe, which given the current state of things is worth it’s literal weight in gold.
Funnily enough, the wife’s Mercedes died around the same time (same boat with it costing more to repair than it was worth plus it looked like wet dirty ass. The woman has never seen a pothole that she hasn’t actively swerved into) and we were looking at the Telluride, but decided we didn’t need two full size SUVs and got her a Subaru Legacy lol.
imho you can’t go wrong with the Kia - they’re great cars, cheap to repair when the usual wear and tear crops up, and very cost / benefit efficient
