I only have 2 hours played and 7 runs. They get a little longer each time though. My guess is that once you get a handle on the game, its probably 20-30 mins per run.
For Wingspan, it looks like it uses your Steam friends to set up a game (at least those are the options I got when I tried to set one up), so looks like weāre all going to become Steam buddies too!
Iām whovian223 over there as well.
Please share your impressions. Iām still waiting on the iOS version as I donāt play PC games that arenāt called League of Legends.
I did do a post about my impressions of the beta, which were very positive.
I canāt imagine it got worse! LOL
But Iām sure I will be doing a full review of the game once I get at least one async game in and some games against the AI.
Ok, thatās gonna end up on my Switch at some point this weekend. Thanks for the info.
To twist your arm even further. I mean, Hades is like Binding of Isaac or Gungeon and the like where you go room to room clearing each during your run. So you donāt absolutely have to sit through an entire run at a time, just clear a room and put it down if you have to, And even more convenient is the sleep button on the switch. Insta pick up put down as you need. This game can be great for that.
That sleep button in the Switch is an amazing thing!
Anybody want to do Wingspan online? I did a game against the AI and I barely won. Itās a fantastic game and the app seems pretty good (though there are a few problems that may not be problems if I looked hard enough)
It has async multiplayer and itās pretty easy to do with Steam friends.
Sorry, I donāt understand this āput downā idea you mentioned ā¦ does not compute.
(Yes, Iām downloading Hades now ā¦ )
Star Realms. In my n-month absence, so much Star Realms. checks 1082 games and I still suck.
Liked your post and then thought I should clarify: I like that youāre playing Star Realms, not that you āstill suckā ā¦
Anyone get into the Wingspan game on steam?
Quite possibly the most beautiful game I have played. I still prefer cardboard, but still huge respect!
Iāve been trying to get people for an async game but havenāt had any takers.
Whatās your Steam name?
Path of Exile - It is interesting in that over the years I had put like 100+ hours into PoE and had never reached end-game. I get to about act 4 and hit a wall and then decide to try a different build. The league starter build I picked this time (Lacerate/Bleed) is just so strong and fun to play, that I actually made it to end game. I played way too much this weekend.
Finished La Pucelle Ragnarok yesterday (a simpler yet way more beautiful PS2 precursor to Disgaea, which was ported and expanded on the PSP yet the port needs a fan-translation patch since only the original game came out in the west as La Pucelle Tactics which was also extremely scrubbed (censored) due to heavy use of religious symbols).
Since my complete Final Fantasy Series playthrough stalled (FF13 is really really trying hard to annoy me to no end) I decided to go for a Disgaea Series playthrough in the meantime (crazy I know) since it is about time to also finally tackle the newest entries which I havenāt touched yet.
And then my curiosity got the better of me and I used my gifted PSN credit on Ghost of Tsushima since I like Japanese Samurai films and Open World gamesā¦
Boy, this game will RUIN EVERY AND ALL open World games for me aside of the Horizon Zero Dawn series maybe.
This game is so beautiful! The immersion and attention to detail are incredible! Since I am a fan of Japanese drum music (taiko) and dabble a bit in playing taiko here and there I am infatuated with the sparse but excellent music score.
This world is so beautiful, it is incredible. Also the photo mode! It will also ruin every other photo mode for me as well, with all that many options!
I played 5 hours of that game yesterday and spent half the time in photo mode, no joke, and I even havenāt started to scratch on the surface of this masterpiece.
Also, the use of wind is both an interesting gameplay concept and a beautiful tool for immersion.
I had to very forcefully pry myself from the game since I have so many other open-world games in my back catalog I want to finish first (AC Origins, AC Odyssey, GTA 5, RDR2, W3, Sleeping Dogs, Watchdogs 1 and 2 and Yakuza Kiwami 2)ā¦
ARGH! why are OW games such a time sink?
Also Bonus points for NOT having aggressive Moose which want to end my existence (and they have done so A LOT already in Skyrim, Horizon Zero Dawn, Far Cry Primal and even in Nier Automata).
But I already died to the aggressive charge of a wild boar in Ghost of Tsushima, so the wildlife is still after my hide I guess.
Ghost of Tsushima was well-designed, with probably my favorite combat system of any similar game, and a solid (if occasionally railroaded) story. But it was so pretty, so effective at evoking being in the best parts of nature, that I now want āgamesā which are just that: a beautiful open world, with a bunch of positive interactions with foxes and other wildlife to encounter. If I could have thatājust a little piece of summer in winterāthat would be the killer app which would make me consider a VR headset.
Picked up Stellaris during the recent PlayStation sale. I wish it had a speed option which was āvery fast until something happensā, but itās the business. Itās also the first game that has made me want a larger TV; the designed-for-monitors interface is workable, but a little tougher to read than would be ideal. But so much about this game makes me happy!
Weirdly enough, Iāve picked Lost Cities back up on iOS, and am finding the challenges to go up levels give it life. I expect Iāll soon run into some which require a very lucky draw to pull off, and Iāll get bored, but itās been interesting revisiting a game I played a bunch way back.
Next up might be Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which is $40 with Prime today and tomorrow. Tempting.
I really wish I hadnāt seen that FE: Three Houses sale ā¦ must ā¦ not ā¦ add ā¦ to ā¦ backlog. Hades isnāt getting enough time on my Switch as it is.
So Legends of Runeterra turned into a āstick with itā game for me.
I wasnāt that impressed, at first. Put it down for days at a time, checking in only every so often to get some free stuff (sidebar: the pricing seems fair so far, and miles better than Hearthstone).
But Iāve really gotten pulled in lately. Finding a deck and play-style that I like really helped (health gain and summoning Big Doodz), as did actually paying attention. The way the initiative flips is the key to the game; you canāt just summon guys and hit face.
Uninstalling Hearthstone is closer than ever ā¦
Coincidence alert: an update just dropped for Runeterra as I was typing this. Some new cards, some buffs/nerfs, other stuff. Wheeeeee!
Good to see another convert! Iāve been singing the gameās praises since launch but have not seen many people jump onboard. Itās a good one.
I donāt net deck or play super competitively so I donāt know what the meta it, but Iāve been using Braum in just about every deck I make.
