It includes a new installment in the Swordquest series. That might be interesting (or at least nostalgic).
It doesn’t list Star Raiders in the blurb, so unclear if that one is included.

There are just so many games these days - Not to mention all the games I already have / own.
It is getting overwhelming - how are they making any money?
It’s only now just getting overwhelming?
Back in the Gone Gold days, we’d go weeks without a new release, and sprint to the local computer store when notified (via landline!) the release we’d been waiting for had finally arrived.
25 spice!?!?
I’ve just started out with the Ix expansion. The first thing that jumps out is the higher totals — spice, money, number of cards held, etc. Everything seems higher.
I even tried their new online ranked thing. It was pretty interesting actually. Their take on having a semi-lobby that empties every hour is something I’d never seen.
Black Ops 6
I’m still going through the growing pains of learning the maps and weapons, but multiplayer is blast so far. We play weekly and have for 2 years, so this game is a nice upgrade. Movement is fluid and great and I like the maps so far; they seem on the smaller side but often have a lot going on, with plenty of vertical space to work with.
But the campaign… I was not expecting the campaign to be nearly as good as it was and there were some big surprises that I won’t spoil. Let’s just say that it goes places I did not expect it to go. It was one of the more fun CoD campaigns I’ve played in some time.
I remember a friend putting me in front of modern warfare 1 and loading a specific mission for me to play, and it blew my mind.
Its good to hear black ops 6 still has some of that magic
I bounced off the new movement shtick hard in the beta - have they tweaked it at all?
I didn’t play the beta but I’m not having issues. There is a tutorial that walks you through all the diving and John Woo stuff but I tend not to use much of it. I do like that I can lay supine, but for the most part I am playing similarly to how I played MWIII. I also haven’t had any issues yet with crazy kids diving all over the map, making killing them difficult. Occasionally I’ll have someone slide under my shot, but that happened in the last game, too, and it is just something to be ready for.
So, tried Baldurs Gate 3 again….
I think it might stick. Really enjoying the combat and theme - though only just got to the first town
Interestingly, I just picked it up recently and was enjoying it for the most part, and then got to one part and was like - I don’t want to deal with that and now am goign to have to make myself go back into it today.
I really like the story and the characters so far - but as the first RPG I have played in years - I hate that it is one of those games I have to save like every few minutes - just in case.
I want to try BG3, but I’m not sure how well it would fit into my current gaming pattern of switching between 3 or 4 indie games in a play session. Play a couple of levels of Grapple Dogs, a couple of runs of Nova Drift, fail a few levels of Disc Room, maybe throw in a day or two in Dave the Diver … I’m enjoying that while not making a ton of progress through any of them. And I still feel guilty for abandoning my Obra Dinn playthrough.
22 items on my Switch wishlist at Deku Deals just dropped in price this morning, so I’d say the Thanksgiving sales for the digital store must be underway… If you see anything super exciting, I am always up for suggestions!
Yup. Black Friday deals are here and my wallet is burning. I just bought 3 TVs. I’m remodeling downstairs and thought it was time to upgrade my 1080p TVs. Just bought Carrion for my iPad. A “reverse-horror” game where you terrorize puny humans.
Carrion on the App Store
I keep looking at the Miniature Market countdown deals. Nothing’s made me start a new hold yet, but there’ve definitely been some appealing deals. Closest I came so far were Conspiracy: Abyss edition and Typeset, both of which sounded like pretty solid games I’d be happy to play, but which I hadn’t been aware of previously. Tomorrow’s is apparently Return to Dark Tower, which I’ve almost bought many times, and the only thing likely to save my wallet is that my FLGS has had it at 40% off for a while, and I’ve resisted so far.
But the last time I walked in there, I discovered there’s a Japan-themed new version of Dorfromantik, and walked out with it. Four games in, and it’s a lot like the first game, which I’m absolutely fine with. So far, Dorfromantik did the best job I’ve encountered of making games easy enough to remove any mental barrier to playing, and unlocks paced well enough that it doesn’t feel pointless to play an “easy” game.
I keep going back and forth on whether to buy Guild of Merchant Explorers. It sounds like a pretty interesting, very approachable flip-n-write-ish game, and Amazon’s selling it for $30, which seems pretty good. Anyone have experience with it?
Also seriously considering backing Hands in the Sea, though I’ve no one to play with.
That new Hands in the Sea map is beautiful. Fantastic style.
Also on steam and switch. A great pixel-art game IMHO!
I owned Guild of Merchant explorers and sold it. Thought I might enjoy it with my then 10 yo, but I did not.
I do not say it is a broken game. I enjoy shared board and high player interaction, and GoME is neither. It’s quite solitaire: turn a card and do your thing on your map and see who’s done best at the end of the game.
Regarding Hands in the Sea, I also got the email today and I am on the fence of backing. Love the Artwork and good war-games in general, also got no one in mind to play with and a long backlog of unplayed games, especially war-games unfortunately. It’s probably best not to back
Yeah, I decided against it. I’ve yet to play Napoleon’s Triumph or Sekigahara (expect against myself, which does not suit it).
