I have one that I’m not using and it isn’t account bound. I leveled every class to get the extra Resplendent Sparks and I’m not planning on playing Necro any further this season. Hit me up when you’re online and I can trade it to you.
Hugely appreciate that and also slightly in awe of you 100’ing every toon, first time I’ve done it ever lol. Sent you a message, but jumping off for tonight. Will try to remote play tomorrow after maintenance, 2 est I think if you’re around
In a survey earlier this year, I answered in depth that the problem with D4 was the slog. It was just so slow. You had to grind out every level. That was just not fun, especially considering the genre like PoE, Last Epoch and even Grim Dawn are generally more about zoom zoom zoom.
Season 4 was a lot of fun, the pace was good. I might have liked another 10% longer to get to level 100, but huge improvement.
This is all good to hear. I think D4 is great, but the leveling and loot felt off a bit. I played through the campaign as a barb when it launched and ended up in the 40s, even after hunting down all the waypoints. I know that hitting the cap takes post-game leveling in every Diablo game, and yes, D2 requires 3 playthroughs, but Diablo 4 just felt off. After maxing every class in Diablo 3 in both regular and hardcore, I didn’t feel like making the slog in D4. I may give it a go sometime….after I plumb the depths of the FFXIV expansion.
Exploration is A+, boss fights are B= or so? Pretty inline with how I felt about the base game. Still one of my favorite games though. I’m generally pretty terrible and I’m about halfway through the DLC content.
Path of Achra - This is exactly what I was looking for, a deep roguelike, without a lot of fluff. It’s like a minimalist TOME. Fast paced, potential for broken builds, lots to unlock, easy for short sessions between family stuff.
It looks janky, so you will have to channel your inner love of Dream Quest.
A warhammer fantasy battle type game, where you move a small army of fantasy troops around a battlefield. Either 10-20 unit fodder type troops, or single unit giants, cannons, mages on griffons etc.
The single player campaign is a roguelite with a slay the spire map, 6 free fantasy factions with 8 difficulty levels each. Progression also unlocks more advanced troop types.
Theres also live multiplayer, where you build a 500 point army and join a ranked, AI, or a private game. Ive not tried this mode but would be keen to.
Sovl isnt a massively deep war game, but its fun to throw fistfuls of dice, and the price is right too
