Prey. So much Prey.
Oof. I am many hours in to Persona 5 and am just starting my first proper dungeon. I really do think everything about this game is great, but I donāt know if I can handle the pace of it in my life right now. I knew what I was getting in to because I played P3 and P4, but Iām realizing that these days, I need to get straight to the point, which is something Persona 5 doesnāt do. Iāll keep plugging away but Iām not sure the game is for me currently, though from what Iāve seen I heartily recommend it to anyone who likes JRPGs and has chunks of hours to play on a regular basis.
Ni No Kuni 2 might send Persona 5 to the shelf in a week.
A little outside the Stately realm, but I just bought the Anki Overdrive starter kit and it is pretty fun. It is essentially a modern slot car game, but the technology is neat. The tracks are incredibly modular and Iām already looking forward to buying more and making bigger and better tracks. I love watching the cars ālearnā the track for the first time. I do think the toy seems slightly overpriced if I were playing it for me, but my kids love it and I think it will last a while with them.
If anyone else is interested in Anki Overdrive but put off by the price, keep an eye out on Craigslist. We got our set that way, and it was fascinating for a short while, but my kids were just a little too young for it and it arrived at Christmas with all sorts of other distractions waiting to steal their attention. I plan to reintroduce it some rainy day this summer.
Great idea, thanks! Weāve been playing with it for about 24 hours now and Iām already looking forward to more cars and tracks.
Iāve always wanted a set - not sure if my kids are too young for it (5 and 2.5?) and hard to justify it to my wife if Iām the only one playing lol
My 3 and 5 year old love it. The app itself does have a few steps to get the race set up so right now I have to set it all up for them. I think my 5 year old will be able to do it soon. Iām not sure my 3 year old has a clue what sheās doing other than speeding up, but she seems to love it anyways.
I actually bought it because we were having company over for dinner and we wanted our sons to be quiet and entertained. It worked brilliantly for that purpose.
Lots of Meteorfall this week. Iāve never had so much fun dying repeatedly. Still havenāt gotten all the way through with any of the characters. sigh
If I can do it, so can you!
Thanks for the encouragement! Won my first game with Greybeard. Whew!
Just finished Cat Quest. Cute, and fairly fun to play. I could see my girls liking this one in a few years. On to FF7 I think. And maybe some 10000000 in between since it will last a long time.
Not the usual Stately fare, but this is the most fun Iāve had with a platformer since Fez.
(Thereās a 6 level demo on Steam, the videos donāt really do the experience justice.)
Woah, that looks rad as hell! Will download that demo soon, for sure.
In a moment of weakness, I downloaded the Burnout Paradise remaster. I have no regrets and it will never leave my hard drive.
Just finished zone two and the completionist in me is starting to scream. So many missed tetrahedrons now.
I loved Burnout Paradise. I loved the multiplayer challenges and the stunt runs the most.
Burnout Paradise is a great game! I really wish the cars were licensed, but thatās my only complaint. Iām picking it up this weekend.
Going to be buying OOTP Baseball 19 on Steam and trying that thing out.
Hope I donāt get too overwhelmed.
World of Tanks just updated to 1.0 with an new engine and new graphics. Look stunning and still fun to play a few matches now and then. But on the other hand still grindy.
Unfortunately thatās the only way Burnout can exist as Burnout. I remember it being a big deal when Forza convinced the car companies to let them show paint damage.
Thereās also the anomaly that was Blur. That game was awesome.
