@Caradog I need to add you to my GC friend list. Can you PM me your email address?
A possible correction/clarification: Game Center friend requests need to go through iMessage, so you will need to send requests via Apple ID (which is usually an email address) or possibly mobile number, depending on how the recipient receives iMessages.
(Clear as mud, right? Ask me how much I like Game Center… )
@whovian223, @HostileApostle, can you send me your emails/IDs/wth GameCenter uses please, and I’ll start the game.
-ish. It’s an email with the game center logo but no functionality (unless I’m missing something vital…)
Cheers, that worked
I messaged you mine but haven’t received anything
I accepted your friend request, but have not gotten an invite in Le Havre. Where do I need to look?
Game Center invites for Le Havre are a bit counter-intuitive. You won’t get an invite to the game until it’s your turn for the first time. Badges and notifications should work (as well as they ever do for Game Center) once it’s your first turn and every time it is your turn after that.
I just accepted the invite.
I’m in too. Thanks for the help!
Just checking in to see if any tables are having trouble getting started…
[grumbles some more about Game Center]
Table 2 is going…just a slow go
Table 3 hasn’t started.
Yeah, sorry. Lack of badges made me forget I had a notification
Badges do work for the game, but as with all GC games (as far as I know) they don’t appear 100% consistently…
With the length of the game (61 turns per person including feeding for a 3P Full game) folks might want to setup a private message thread for notifications.
There’s a Stately play discord some of us use for notifying each other in games that don’t have notifications
