Really tried for second at the end. I felt bad for stacking double mandatory quests on JammaTal, but didnāt want to get lastā¦Guess that didnāt work. Good game gents!

congrats to Hardco! exceptionally well played as can be expected from a gentleman (āggā) Mastermind.
i myself wouldnāt call my performance a good one.
had to learn the (very) hard way how easy it is to completely lose the feeling for the flow of a game when having played only once in the last years (in the last Decathlon 
).
6 unfinished quests on hand at end of the game tell the story.
and a rules fumble when i was convinced that more quests than just one could be completed in one round. and didnāt care to take a look into the rulebook 
time to get awake for showing more respect to the competition.
my only excuse is that iāve never been much into LoW. i promise to play better in the next rounds.
no problem at all. that was the best possible move

I thought the game was a lot tighter than final scoring showed. I was surprised how aggressively everyone was taking the āreset questsā space, and I was worried I wouldnāt be able to deal with corruption.
Luckily I got that space on the last round, but I messed up, not realizing how low on money I was for my remaining quests. I gave @HostileApostle a mandatory quest despite him having no agents and no quests (I assumed he had something up his sleeve!). I was left with the $8 and a corruption intrigue in my hand, and no way to get enough money for both my anti-corruption quest and the 25 point arcane quest I was planning on completing all game.
Fortunately it all worked out for the best anyway!

You assumed totally wrong that I had anything up my sleeve. Iāve only played LoW like 5 times now. Really I was trying to run out the clock and just pick up a second place finish. you see how that worked outā¦

On schedule with Table 2 reporting.
Iāve never played with corruption, so it took a few turns to understand what everyone was doing. I had no idea where the scoring would go.
Only two mandatory quests. I was able to pass off one assigned to me with an intrigue card so I could finish my last quest.

I see @JHTaube had everyoneās least favourite Lord (Xanathar) and actually did pretty well with the ānet -3 per skullā - a close race for 2nd/3rd place there!
Also, LOL on completing the trend on the tables reporting in reverse orderā¦

When you all reached parity in score during the game I knew it was lost. The building that allows for corruption to be placed on the board never got built so I thought I had a chance. I followed the advice from BGG to aim for 10-12 corruption and target the higher payoff quests but it wasnāt enough this time.

I had never had Sangalor before, I just realized that I read him wrong. For some reason I thought it said āmandatoryā quests, so I was ignoring that part. Oh well. I had never had him before.

I have a feeling there are going to be some Lords of Waterdeep re-matches going on here. 
After Sagrada is Brass - I would highly recommend playing a game prior to the event as this is one of the āheavierā games in the Decathlon. Jump on over to the Decathlon Practice Arena thread if you are looking for a practice match!
