Didn’t know this was out! Warbits was a good game, though not as deep as the very high-bar Advance Wars, which it was clearly modeled after. I think the main addition that gives this version the “+” is that you can play versus other people online. I’m not sure the levels or gameplay have been amped up very much. But there’s also only so much they can do in that regard with this.
Did you download it?
I’m curious if you can do a 3p online game.
I have not picked it up yet, but I think it’s pvp, based on the way they show it here:
Scroll down to “Tag Match Hub”
Horrible Guild just released an app for the board game Evergreen. I know nothing about the game but HG has made some decent app, previous network issues aside.
I’ve played it a few times on BGA at it was pretty good.
It’s still on there as a premium game if you’ve got that (or a friend with it that’s willing to spin up a game of it with you) and want to give it a go before buying the app.
I don’t, but the game is in my wishlist by virtue of the developer. I’ve been happy with their games on iOS. They had a big server issue for a while when they migrated services but other than that their games are clean, look good, and play well. Railroad Ink was one of the best roll & writes on iOS when it released and I have a soft spot for Dragon’s Castle, which is very underrated.
I’ll send invites to it on BGA if anyone wants to try, looks interesting to me
I’ll play. I’ve never really used BGA and have no friends over there. I’m Mirefox.
I’ll play! Worth a try, anyway.
Guess I’d better learn how to play!
Same!
Interestingly, the description of the game sounds a lot like Photosynthesis.
Edit: Drafted my first card so the game is underway. I like the rules. The game isn’t all that complex but I wonder if it will get a little brain-burny trying to adapt to the 4 different sun positions.
One of my favourite solo card games just released on Board Game Arena.
Extremely RNG dungeon crawler, but plays quick so not super frustrating when you lose out to several bad card or dice options. (also has a 2 player coop mode, but I’ve never tried that out.)
Midnight Suns is free on the Epic Game Store.
Civilization 7 was just announced with a 2025 release window.
Just hype for now but they say they’ll actually give some details in August.
It is coming to consoles as well as PC as well.
The Glimmergold expansion is coming to Everdell digital this month.
“Expansion” is an exaggeration. The Legendary characters are interesting, but this mini expansion really does not change much to the primary game play.
Spirecrest is what we need, as much as I love Everdell, Spirecrest really added the additional scoring strategies the game needed.
