I don’t need to download it. I know exactly what the entire gameplay loop is like. Let me know if I’m wrong.

You’re not wrong. That’s basically Raid Shadow Legends with an X-Com skin. Slightly more to the combat than Raid, but miles away from an actual X-Com.

There was new content added to Civilization VI today on iOS. It’s called the Great Negotiators Pack.

Yeps, but the promised “Free to owners of all previous exps” isn’t working in iOS or on Steam.

Curious, I thought only owners of the “Anthology Edition” get those for free?

I’m sure a ton of sales will be popping up on the App Store. I noticed that Handelabra games are all on sale, again.

However, I also noticed that most of the BrettspielWelt library is on sale. Their apps are at best utilitarian and all have a janky or broken login system, but they are also highly addicting high score chasers. I am a fan of the Clever series (there are 4 of them now) and Cartographers. I don’t see these games on sale as often as others so they may be worth a look.

Disgaea 4 just launched in iOS. @Private_Prinny could probably tell you all about it if you want. $32.99 is a bit steep for me on mobile but if it interests you you will likely get your money’s worth.

Just caught a review for XCOM - Marvel Midnight Suns.

Looks interesting!

Oof…with that pricepoint, I would seriously suggest playing it on other platforms, not that it is a good game (it is in fact a great game) but SRPG need a lot(!) of clicking…err interacting and I am not that fond of the mobile controller-less gesture shenanigans…

Really wish this were going to be on Switch. Just don’t have it in me to play a 45+ hour game on PC these days.

I’m really looking forward to it myself and the universal message I’m picking up from the reviews is that while the tactical card combat is a hoot, their attempts at “roleplaying” back at the bae are pretty cringey with really juvenile writing and painful voice acting.

Out now in Early Access on Steam and does indeed support async play. (no matchmaking yet though, but you can pick a game from a list and create pw protected games).

Another reason I like asynchronous play is because it makes me more willing to play a game I wouldn’t normally sit down at the table and play. Don’t ask me why.

Vampire Survivors is super popular, right? Well, it’s out on iOS now and costs nothing.

really, I don’t see it on there. nevermind, I found it

I’m not sure how a free bullet hell game on iOS is gonna play, but I’ll give it a go

Yeah and really amazing for a freemium game. No IAPs and ads are only there for 1 revive per run and one to x2 your gold at the end of a run. Both are totally optional with nothing forced on you.

I find it a little sluggish on iOS, but so far have only tried it on the ipad, will need to see what is like on the iphone later. I still think my favorite experience with the game though is on the Steam Deck.

Was excited for it on iOS but I find it significantly better to play with a controller vs touch
