Dang - if only other Japanese developers would see the draw of remastering PSP / DS games. R-Type Tactics 2 wasn’t even localized in the west yet! I beat RTT1 and ahem found ways to play RTT2 but since 2 is more story-focused and wasn’t fully fan-translated I didn’t get far in it.
Sting even re-released Yggdra Union on Switch in Japan. Why don’t THEY rerelease them over here and include the other PSP Dept. Heaven games that weren’t localized.
If Atlus can do it (Persona) if Falcon can do it (Ys and Trails) if NISA can do it (Phantom Brave, La Pucelle Tactics) if Sega can do it (Yakuza, Langrisser) if Konami can do it (Suikoden) if Square can do it ( Livealive, Valkyrie Profile) if friggin NINTENDO can do it (Advance Wars) why not Sting?
Could not agree more, Prinny. So many great games that would be right at home on the Switch. Would absolutely love to see Jean D’Arc on switch…with maybe some added content?
As it is, I’m pretty pumped about Tactics Ogre: Reborn in a just a couple weeks!
For those of us playing Labyrinth (@Hardco@Baelnor) there’s a known bug that borks the game when the US reassesses. I emailed Playdek; they’re aware of it and hope to push a fix relatively soon.
The re-launch of the good vessel Dapper Pawn? Bless that ship I say and all that sail on her. If she launches I can crew weapons and keep a close eye on that pesky flak cannon so this time around no-one is surprised when it eventually fires.
For those who are interested, the new implementation of Pokémon TCG has launched on mobile. I think the game is still in beta and I have yet to test it but I now have Pokémon TCG on my phone, which is a good thing.
Also, I noticed that Patchwork has had a series of updates over the last month or so. It now looks like a modern app again, which is nice. I don’t know if this is because of Digidiced or whatever Asmodee is calling itself now, but for as much as I trash the latter, I thought it only appropriate that I highlight them doing something good.
Roll Player is also now out on mobile. No online multiplayer yet, so does anyone have any feedback on how the game plays solo? I know it’s been out on Steam for a while.
Enjoying it on Android. Was partially hoping they’d go portrait orientation on mobile, but that’s just a preference not a deal breaker for me. Interesting to play against the AI opponents as I’ve only ever played my physical copy of the game solo.
Scythe has officially been transferred from Asmodee. I am having a hard time transferring my account, which is a bit frustrating. I’d love to see if the online experience is a little smoother now, though.
Edit: I submitted a support ticket for my difficulty transferring accounts and they responded fairly quickly that they are working on it. Maybe I’m reasoning into it too much but it sounds like it is perhaps a known issue for everyone and they are on it? I hope…
