I will play that.
I tried and failed many years ago to stand up a play by email version of it with my mates.
Oh my, the stories in that game that can be told.
Count me in

I just read over at pocketgamer that Asmodee is planning on adding all the remaining expansions for Scythe. The Wind Gambit doesnāt surprise me, but the Rise of Fenris I thought would never happen. They also plan on the modular board.
Too bad getting friendly matches going is borderline impossible.
It drives me nuts that Asmodee will put the effort in to developing expansions but has zero interest in fixing basic functionality like end game scoring or asynch game creation.
The thing is, though, itās not Asmodeeās doing (the expansions and such). Itās the new developerās/publisherās, The Knights of Unity:
Awesome! And if you look at the roadmap it looks like they want to clean up some issues first. Good news, for sure.
They changed their name to Twin Sails Interactive instead of Asmodee Digital.
It looks like Knights of Unity is migrating player accounts away from the Asmodee online service, which probably means a new backend server as part of the code refactoring.
Iām in the same boat - never heard of this but it looks very cool. I was sorely disappointed by Armello, especially as I made the mistake of kickstarting it tooā¦
Wow, I just read up on this and itās not even a rebrand; it might as well be a completely different developer. Itās as if McDonalds said āweāre changing our name. Oh, and we arenāt selling hamburgers anymore; weāre now a donut shop.ā
I played half a game of SI multiplayer, so this is very good news!
Iām still befuddled how bad a lot of boardgame adaptations are.
Letās hope this āboardgameā has few issues.
Labyrinth is finishing early access and releasing on iOS on October 18th!
It looks like at least a good chunk of Digidiced games are on sale on iOS, including half off their bigger titles like Gaia Project and Terra Mystica.
I am not a huge fan of BrettspielWelt but I do like the Clever series of roll and write games. I donāt know if it is new today or not but Clever 4Ever is out. If anything, itās likely to be a n addictive high score chaser like the previous three.
i always had the same feelings about Brettspielwelt, but i must admit that they managed to bring Eclipse back to āplayableā.
waitā¦isnāt it playable now for the first time at all?
yes! the rigid 24h timer and the fact that outtimed players crashed the games were a hellish combination of doom which made the game unplayable before.
we could just finish our test game successfully. the new ābot takes over outtimed playerās positionā feature worked flawlessly.
My biggest issue is that most of their games have screwed up login systems so you canāt save your high scores or compare with friends. And the login doesnāt even seem to be universal across their apps. Some ask for a name, others an e-mail; some give me responses in German, some say to check my e-mail (which I never receive), and some give me errors of one kind or another. I think the only one that works consistently for me is Cartographers.
Crashes and login issues? I guess we can work around that.
But expecting us to read German? Absolutely unplayable
Homeworld Mobile is out now on iOS and Android. Who is going to bite the bullet on this one and come back here screeching about how they bastardized a fantastic RTS?
I participated in the beta, and it was well done. But it also didnāt have the f2p and p2w shenanigans.
Monster Train available for iOS preorders, expected out 10/27!
Monster Train was one of the first games I installed on my Steam Deckā¦so already have it mobile!
I have it on Switch and definitely could put it on my Steam Deck, but I strongly prefer deckbuilders on my iPad, for some reason, so Iām pretty psyched about this news.
Oh lord, as if I need it on another platformā¦
spoiler: Iāll buy it again.
