Blizzard is repackaging most of their older games to milk some cash from them.
Wow Classic, Diablo 2, Lost Vikings, Rock’n’Roll Racing, Blackthorne. Just trying to fill the gap until Diablo 4 is done, I guess.

looks like a tasty tactical heavyweight: Warhammer 40k Mechanicus
already on PC and Switch and now coming out for iPadOS and Android tablets as premium release (11.99 $ incl. DLC Heretek) on April, 22nd.
According to PocketGamer, the tabletop game Pavlov’s House is available now for iPad. Apparently it is a primarily solo game where you play as some Soviets holding out a fortification against the Germans? I don’t know anything about it but it may be something of interest to you all.
I have a review copy of it. It’s pretty cool but I haven’t explored it much yet.
The board game it’s based on (completely solo) has got good reviews from wargamers I respect, though
I’ve been seeing a lot of ads for Northgard, which is coming to mobile mid-April. It looks great to me - like something Feral would release. I haven’t delved too much into the PC reviews, but it sounds like a quality RTS that is making its way from PC to mobile. This one is very much on my radar.
I’ve dabbled a bit on Steam. It didn’t quite grab me, but then I’m an old-school RTS-er. I did buy most of the DLC and will investigate further.
I just just just traded for the physical version. Oops!
Summoner Wars Second Edition is available to try here in an online in browser form.
I’m yet to find information to understand if this is going to be an actual iOS app or not, as they refer to this version (linked) as an “app”.
Looks like it’s going to be a monthly subscription basis to play more. Yuck.
Edit: and unfortunately it seems the good old version of the Playdek Summoner Wars app has been pulled. Still available in purchases under my account though. Sad that.
This sounds like steps in the wrong direction for a truly fantastic game but I’m at least curious to see if it breathes new life into a game that should not have been forgotten like it was.
I saw something on their subscription goals list that if they get 5000 subscribers, they’ll work on iOS and Android implementations.
Something like that.
So we lose the iOS version because maybe they will work on one to theoretically be released in years if they get enough people to subscribe to a board game service?
Essentially, you’ve got it
Looks like they’ve updated the digital offering somewhat.
$10 gets you a year’s worth of playing (was 4 months before), before paying $2.95/month after that.
Or, you can buy digital access to each pack at $3.95 each. This will give you unlimited access to online play but just with that one pack.
Also just double-checked what I said earlier, and I was essentially correct. At 5000 Full or Digital subscriptions, they will “begin work on phone/switch ports.”
I don’t know when it released but there seems to be an iOS version of Dice Hospital. I am not familiar with the game, but I’m always happy to see new digital board games. It looks like it is only single player against the AI.
As seen on Stonemaier’s site. Haven’t heard a pip about who the dev is on the digital version though.
I didn’t even realize it was a Stonemaier game. I enjoy the books and was mildly interested game but now I really want to give it a go!
Also, alpha sign ups for Tiny Touch Tales new game.
I’ve played it a fair bit and it’s like a lovely conglomeration of mechanics from his previous games and some new.
Humble Bundle offers Stellaris in its newest bundle for cheap!
1 € for the Base game is a steal, and the full bundle ~12ish € offers you about 80% of all Stellaris content (aside from the newest stuff)
Considering the amount of Content Paradox pops out for their games this is one of the best deals ever to get into the IMHO best 4X / Grand Strategy game out there!
Man…there is actually no one I can recommend this to aside from this community…I already have converted all real-life heathens on my crusade for this game, so…
I did a review of the new Steam/iOS (not Android, I don’t believe) solo wargame, Pavlov’s House.
I’ve never played the tabletop game, but it looks like a really faithful rendition of it, and it’s pretty great.
I already have most of that Humble offering, but I just need the game to stick in my mind. I like it, but I’ve re-started four times and have yet to get very far. I was multiplayer Stellaris was more of a thing; that would definitely help.
