I am not familiar with the tabletop game but The Captain is Dead has a digital version that is out now on iOS.
For the King is free on Epic Game Store this week. Itās a hex-based tactical roguelike RPG. Should appeal to a bunch of you.
Iāve got FtK on switch and quite like giving it a playthrough once in a while. Kind of like a self contained DnD with JRPG combat.
Fury of Dracula is coming to mobile Feb. 17th. Iām turned off by the multiplayer options, but this also seems to be coming out at a time when releases are few and far between and Iām jonesing for a new board game app, so they might just sucker me into buying.
What are the issues with the multiplayer options?
Oh, just that it isnāt asynchronous. I know it could be laborious for Fury, but non-asynchronous board game apps have limited value for me; I just prefer playing with friends. Other than the fact that the game is quite long for real time online it may work perfectly. I know what to expect from Nomad at this point, so I wasnāt going to whine too much.
The only iOS release with a set date that Iām looking forward to is the mobilisation with DLCās of Dungeon of the Endless. March 16.
Was on iPad but now coming to iPhone with new DLC.
As a new release, though. I hate having to pay for separate versions of iOS app. Good game, but Iām sticking with my old iPad version only.
ā¦And here I assumed Asmodee was dying due to itās long silence and many games losing their Asmodee loginsā¦
I have a āwait and seeā attitude right now. They say that everything will stay the same and the people who are running it sound like they will stay in charge. But Iām waiting until things change.
Humble Bundle has a bunch of Asmodee games on sale. Given how much I read here about their poor multiplayer support, would this be worth it?
When you click on the store icon in the Shards of Infinity menu it show the Relics of the Future expansion listed as ācoming soon.ā As far as I know, this could have been here since the game launched, but does anyone know of this is any kind of new development at all?
The note has been there since launch and there is an article somewhere quoting them saying that theyāve abandoned their plans. More cost effective to make new apps than expansions to existing ones ā¦ by their logic.
Drat. I knew that they had said that but I was hoping they had changed their minds and reversed course regarding a Shards expansion.
And double drat!
Fury of Dracula is out on iOS. I give Nomad credit for pricing this at $5 when the trend with most recent board games has been closer to $10.
Great price, but Iām hearing that the AI is braindead. I wonder how the multiplayer is.
I believe Blizzard just had their virtual Blizzard-Con or something and there seem to be a lot of articles out there of Blizzard-related games, but the Diablo 2 remaster caught my eye. It looks like it has Diablo 3 graphics, is coming to consoles, and will be out this year. Very cool.
