I’ll test a game if anyone wants, but I’ll have to reinstall later today before things are set up.
What I am curious about is whether or not free players can be invited into asynchronous games. I believe you used to be able to set up a lobby and free players could join you before asynchronous.
I do indeed live in tomorrow’s world, so sorry for any false alarm.
Looks like we’ve got async, with a choice of 3 minute timers or 3 day timers. Password protected games persist even after closing the app. I’ve got a game up, password: sp1 . Free to all comers who want to test this out with me
(Also looks like there’s the normal single player modes, with also a series of challenge modes, ala through the ages. I’m very pleased and look forward to digging into those)
On iOS at least, the game is free to play and has a full game unlock that gives you some multiplayer options and unlocks the full campaign. Usually $10, somewhere around $7 right now. When the game launched, paid players could, I believe, start a private game that feee players could join. I’m just curious if that works for asynchronous.
