Yeah, order does not matter.
@Codington How about an undo for Puerto Rico? Thereās no way I tapped on that cornā¦ At least I havenāt accidentally built the wrong building yet trying to scroll through the buildings!
@Hardco funny you should ask - I was David trying to take on Goliath with Ravensburger about undo. Itās in every other Codito game but not PR because they didnāt want it.
Not the only time they made a decision that I disagreed with and of course think I was proven right in the end. (cough iPhone version cough )
In any case, not only did they eventually buy me out, they have since taken the game off the App Store entirely () so thereās literally nothing I can do about, Iām afraid.
The building scrolling is totally on me though. But still nothing I can do about it now, other than to pass on the āpro tipā of opening the side panel and scrolling via the added text part of the panel.
The joy of PR is the plan ahead in your mind for what everyone is going to do. So itās just a bit frustrating when over multiple days you go āIām going to this, then he is going to do this, and everything will be greatā¦ Hey, how come I only have 2 bucks?ā
Totally get it and my apologies!
One other tip that not everyone knows about is that you can use the slightly wider spaced resource area on the left side (under the Trading House) to pick resources for selling and for shippingā¦
What happens if you force close the app after you make a mistake? I donāt remember if thereās an end turn button in PR, so I donāt know your turn gets uploaded
My recollection is that only re-distributing colonists during the Mayor role has a confirmation button. Otherwise, your turn ends and is submitted as soon as you tap.
(Note that all of this only pertains to online games - local play has an undo and configurable option to confirm your turn. For whatever reason, Rav felt that those should not be available in online games.)
I was going to let it lie, but this must be a screen-scaling thing with 11ā iPad Pro. Both times Iāve tapped the resources under the trading house, and both times it registered sugar as corn. Iām not making excuses for my imminent loss here (Iād have still lost the race for the Guild Hall), but it is frustrating. Maybe Iāll do some testing against the AI to see if I just have fat fingersā¦
Ooh yeahā¦ that could be a thing, since the app hasnāt been updated in who knows how long, but I canāt say for sure.
Let us know what you find out in solo mode - Iām sure there are others with various form factor devices who would appreciate knowing - and make sure you try both places where the resources are displayed for tapping, just in case.
After some testing, thereās no issue with the resources on the right side, but on the left side I need to tap a whole row lower. Not that anything can be done about it, but itās good to know!
And like that we have a new King of the Hill.
@Mirefox you are the new challenger. Please take a look at @Codington list and let us know what the next challenge game will be.
@Hardco and @JMH.75 you are able to change any games on your list at this time.
Great, @JammaTal is the next person with Concordia on their list, so they will be the 3rd. @Mirefox please send a challenge to @Codington and @JammaTal.
Please just confirm that your Acram names are, indeed JammaTal and Codington. Iāve found both and added as friends so I can get this one running quickly if those are the right accounts.
Thanks @Hardco and @JMH.75 - I figured it would be close as it was a well played game all around (UI issues notwithstanding!)
Iām happy to have proven that @kennfusionās faith in me was founded ( ) and we shall see if I can manage to stay King of the Hill for even one more game!
@Mirefox - I am indeed codington for Acram games - looking forward to Concordia!
Good game everyone! I usually like to rush the end of the game by flooding the colonist ship, but the game still ended faster than I expected. The biggest mistake I thought I made (beyond UI issues) was building a Large Sugar Mill when I only needed the Small. Between that and the UI issues I ended up with less cash on hand than Iād have liked.
I think @JMH.75 had a shot if he bought Guild Hall rather than Wharf with 9 colonists left in the pool. It didnāt seem like there was enough game left for Wharf to pay off.
I forgot how Acram games work; I donāt send invites, just create a private room.
Look for Mirefoxās Game and password is SP
Iāve not created a game of Concordia before and there were a couple options. I just left everything at the default.
