Yes, you can promote characters to “legacy heroes” and reuse them in other campaigns but usually, they become a bit nerved version of their former selves (they age over the time of any given campaign, so you may get them in a younger but more “not yet a god-slayer with imba-weapons and skills” status back to play with them anew.

My Thursday MP group and I have played Wildermyth for about three months and we are having quite some fun (you can assign who controls which character) if you like promote even other players’ heroes into your Pool of Legacy heroes. It really has a dungeon & dragon-ish vibe going for itself.

Edit:
The strange steam invite by “Dai” you have gotten…thats me

I have sent friend requests to anybody who posted here and who I wasn’t already friends with.

For you SRPG fans out there, Fire Emblem Engage is getting fantastic reviews. It also sounds like it leans more heavily into the combat rather than the social elements of Three Houses. I’ll be picking it up Friday.

Yes! Preordered in September and will jump it to the front of my back log : )

I’ve got to tie up some loose ends in Pokémon so I may not be jumping in immediately on Friday, but I think it will be the next game I play.

Which Pokemon are you guys playing? I’ve been ignoring the new pair because the reviews have been a little lukewarm…

Scarlet.

I think the game is great. The poor reviews are based on performance. I haven’t had any bugs, but the game definitely runs at a low frame rate. That hasn’t turned me off to everything else that is great about the game, though. I, too, had read the reviews prior to playing and was expecting a nightmare. It really isn’t that bad.

Yes! Raids with my two kids is a blast. I missed Carizard and Cinderace but I’m in end game right now and am all set for Greninja.

Also, releasing new Pokémon in the form of high end raids every month or so is a fantastic way to make me pick the game up frequently even long after I’ve mined it for everything else it has.

HnnnGHG…my Backlog is killing me…and Fire Emblem Games are system sellers for me (forget Mario, Pokemon or Zelda…Fire Emblem makes me buy Nintendo consoles)…
crying-tears

Edit:
I have to say, without playing it…I am not enthused by the character design and premise of FE: Engage…which let me feel a lot of dread…the last time I did feel the same with a FE game was with the FE: Fates/Conquest/Birthright trilogy…which are my least liked FE games of the “localized” modern FE games

I am really struggling with Old World the past few days. I have played the first 3 of the 4 tutorials now, and while I was enjoying the game into the 3rd, at the start of the 4th the game started to feel a little like a slog.

What is interesting is that I love a lot of the parts and systems. While I am not sure I get how all of the relationship stuff comes into play for a full game, I like the concepts.

But being told that I need to go to war with Rome in the 4th tutorial, and that all of my troops are far away, and if you use all of your turn points to move your military, you can’t do anything else…I am just like, what a boring slog war is going to be. And so I just cannot get myself motivated enough to actually finish the tutorial now.

typical tutorial slog. must you play it?
if not why bother with it and play a real game instead?
