A solid game from all - I just managed to be the best prepared for a push in round 14. (I have to give a nod to @hardco here for sharing some lessons in past games!)

Great game! I spent so many actions collecting wood to build fences and then someone took away the build fences action in the final round . Well done, well deserved! Fun times.
Yeah, what was it that you did at the end there to score big? It was just fill all of the spaces with stables?
GG to both, despite not winning, that was one of the best games of Agricola I have played. I even know where I messed up, forgetting to upgrade the house.
LOL yes that was definitely my most aggressive move of the game and decidedly un-Canadian of me!
The lesson @hardco taught me about the final round is to make every single turn countā¦
Unfortunately the replay is gone now that the game is over, but Iām pretty sure it went something like:
Plow and sow - about 4 more points (+1 space covered, +1 pasture, extra grain and veggies)
Build fences - about 5 more points (covered space + 1 fenced stable)
Take 2 cattle - 3 more points since I had none
Upgrade to stone house - 4 more points (including a bonus point)
That is quite the final round if you can get Plow & Sow, 2 Cattle, and beat @SleepingGiant to Build Fences!
And cleverly set up by @Codington taking the starting player action with just the right timing in the late gameā¦
@SpiceTheCat itās been your turn for a few days. Just checking to make sure notifications are working for you, as you didnāt confirm that. Let us know.
Sorry, yes, getting dots but not banners. Iāve put it on my front page, will endeavour to be less laggy from now on.
Hahahaā¦whoops⦠somewhere I lost track of this game. I think I just sealed my fate before even getting started.
Irishdomer08 was the first to Family Growth, but didnāt have an early Fireplace/Cooking Hearth, so I tried to force him into wasting early actions on food.
I had a bit of a food engine going with a Mini Pasture and a few sheep that sustained me for awhile. But after my second Family Growth they all got eaten and food was tight for the rest of the game. I was a rare game where I wasnāt able to collect all the resources off my Grocer.
Poor Schlotzky got denied reed for the first half of the game, and didnāt get his first Family Growth until late. Irishdomer and I were only a few points apart in Round 14, but he got shut out of Renovation, and was left in his wooden house⦠Good game all!

Great game and extremely close at the end! The profession that allowed me to renovate straight to stone house allowed me to scrape the victory.
Good game and congrats! I was happy to be that closeāhavenāt played Agricola in a while and have never been any good at it ā¦
That was a photo finish! Gg!
GG! I took three begging cards at the very first harvest simply because I wasnāt paying attention. It likely wouldnāt have changed the outcome, but I was kicking myself that whole game!
Thatās not one of Playdekās better implementations, at least for someone new to the game. A couple of times I couldnāt work out what the expected input was, eg was this action just not available to me, and if not why not, or had I not found the right bit of the interface to drag. The rules summary didnāt really help. Maybe a card listing would have been useful (or if there is one, I didnāt find it).
I can imagine enjoying Agricola with a better grasp of the rules and some familiarity with the UI, but eh. Happy to support Playdek at least.
Had I known you were new to the game I would have pointed out a couple of things: First, if you press the (?) button in the top left, all the action spaces are revealed as cards with descriptions of what they do; Second, if you are looking at the season track, there is a little āpage turnā icon on the bottom where you can switch to view your scoring chart, which can be helpful for determining what you may need to work on.
Like most Playdek games, a card summary can be found. In this care, from the main menu, go to Options, then Card Summary.
I still consider this one of the best boardgame implementations, but I vaguely remember a 15 part tutorial to teach the game and interfaceā¦
As is usual with Playdek they were way ahead of the curve as far as presentation went with this. They already had an excellent game coupled with their excellent multiplayer; they added visual polish that was a few years ahead of the games that are just starting to pick up on the same tricks now.
As we are nearing the end of this round, I figured we could start planning round 9, Star Realms!
Again, we will be having pools of three players, but letās vote of the following:

We will plan for base game, but people are welcome to agree on other core sets.
