Re: Dominion. The Intrigue set is on sale right now. Do we know how they are going to do sales on the IAP? Will it rotate?

I will absolutely buy and lose several tens of hours to this again.

Intrigue is not on sale on US Steam. It’s been $4.99 since launch : /

It’s $4.99 on iOS but has a big red banner on it that says “Discounted.” I suppose that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ion sale, just that it’s cheaper than the other expansions…

This game will be the reason I don’t finish my master’s degree and also your honor this is why I’m divorced.

I. Am. Addicted.

Also shame shame shame on the lot of you for not mentioning this prior.

Is it bad that this post makes me want to try it even more?

If its any consolation, I finished the game and was left satisfied. Its more a bucket of chicken than a Chinese meal. I gorged myself and then walked away. I wasn’t hungry for more 2 hours later

A couple of current sales:

Acram games are on sale on iOS, including Unmatched, which is their newest.

Handelabra games are on sale on iOS. I checked in on the Spirit Island app and I think the IAP is also on sale.

Looks like a new expansion of evolution - flight!

A couple of new games to not get very excited about:

BrettspielWelt, who seems to put out a new game every week these days, released Clever Mixed, which is the 5th title in the roll and wrote series. I really like these roll and writes and will likely pick this one up at some point. They also released Discordia somewhat recently, which I know nothing about. As usual, we’ve got some utilitarian UI and likely terrible login to deal with, here.

Mipmap recently released Point Salad. I don’t know the game but I think it is a very light filler that you’ll find next to Uno on box box store shelves. Mipmap made the Roll Player app that I find to be rather well done.

I played the physical copy of Discordia, it’s ok, but nothing great. Zee just reviewed it yesterday with an 8.5 rating and Rahdo was raving about it one year ago. So maybe they saw something I did not.
I picked up the app, but I somehow struggled with its usability that I deleted it afterwards. I just seem to have an issue with Brettspielewelt apps.

Regarding Point Salad, great game (physical), and I love to play it with my oldest (11 yo) when he have just 10 minutes for a quick game. Highly recommended (physical version). I did not know about the app, but will go pick it up now.

I wonder if you encountered my same issue in Discordia of not being able to login to an existing Brettspielwelt account nor create a new 1?

Ouch! This came out last August? So there is no excuse for it to STILL be broken.

Nearly every single game of theirs that I have played has a broken account system. They are horrendous at it. It also isn’t unified across their games, so each game uses its own [broken] system. Cartographers might work ok, if I remember correctly.

I’d always take Rahdo’s reviews with a grain of salt, they only do paid reviews so they’ve got some skin in the game to glowingly review most of the games on their channel.

Ah, I did not know that…
To be honest, something about Rhado is just weird. I watched some of his playthroughs, which were good for learning, but his style is… unique… So I prefer Gaming rules, Watch it played, etc more.

I can’t remember exactly what they were , but they surly were some oddities with their online system

I ended up figuring it out. The name I was trying to use, “LordGek” is evidently both already existing and not. :face_with_monocle:

So every time I entered that name I was told either they didn’t recognize it or something was wrong with my Internet connection. However, once I attempted to login into my other BSW account, “LordGek2”, all was fine.
