I probably should not have looked at the Next Fest section, I am now up to 306 games on my wishlist.
(I was already close to 300)

Looks like Zen is working with Asmodee to make Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars, and Exploding Kittens pinball tables. They are going to be sold in a pack called Game Night Pinball Volume 1, implying there might be a volume 2?
The big question this raises is if these tables are going to be completely standalone or if theyâre going to integrate them into their existing platform, and further, if theyâre going to update that platform at all.
Interesting. If anyone tries it out let us know.
BrettspielWelt games can be a little rough around the edges; they work pretty well as score-chasers like with the So Clever! and Cartographers games but I havenât spent money on anything else theyâve done.
they have acquired the rights to Eclipse and came up with an update.
more and better timer options now.
A.I. can take over when a player times out.
we were able to finish our async 4P test game.
they are working on Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy.
from a BGG forum:
âJust for everyoneâs info, I emailed the new developer, Brettspielwelt about the status of the app and coming second edition. They told me that they hope to have it out by Christmas. Joy, there is hope!â
Was there any word on whether they would be making Eclipse SD as a universal app this time round? Hoping to be able to play on iPhone this time.
I have no idea how to play, but Iâll give it a go.
tl;dr, you lose.
Typical survival game but Iâm having a lot of fun with it.
From the one 2* review on the App Store at the moment, itâs incredibly rough around the edges bordering on unusable. Shame, always ready for another crunchy game. Maybe we do wait for a round or two of updates.
Does Eclipse have online multiplayer? Because if not, I donât think theyâve put it in any of their games yet and their very basic login to save profiles is borderline broken in some games as is, so it could be rough when they finally do get around to multiplayer.
It sounds like a board game version of Armello is being developed. I like this for two reasons: First, Armello felt like a board game; Second, because maybe the digital game will get some love. It died due to lack of support and lack of asynch.
itâs ok, as i had mentioned.

Pax Pamir 2 is on BGA Beta and is very good so far.
While browsing the App Store I stumbled across an app for Biblios Dice. I know nothing about it except that it is a digital version of a real game. I think Iâve heard of Biblios but this is the dice spinoff. $10 is too much for me to buy a random app that I know nothing about but if anyone has any experience with the app or tabletop game let us know.
Really enjoying Deepest Chamber so far.
Slay the Spire format, but with enough interesting changes to refresh me on the roguelike card game genre and has that old school Wizardry vibe with the pseudo first person perspective.
The main focus in this one is on equipment, multiple characters with fairly different playstyles in the party at once who all contribute cards to the single deck, when they die, those cards get removed unless you manage to bring them back later in the run, and âboostingâ cards by playing cards adjacent to them (they hold their boost levels even when shuffled back into the deck until you actually play them).
In case you guys were interested, Wizard of Legend just dropped on mobile. Its name is generic but it has reasonable recognition on other platforms as being a decent roguelite and to use and overused comparison itâs a little like hades.
Sprung for it after reading the rules and thinking Iâm always a sucker for a dice chucker . Clinched after watching Rahdoâs play through of a few rounds of the cardboard thinking it could fall into that Roll Player niche. It does and it⌠doesnât. The app is reasonably polished. Multiplayer (no sign up for an account required as far as I can see but not a lot of activity), 2 levels of AI (but even after a few games I seem to be winning more often than not against the hard AI and Iâm usually struggling to be competitive at most levels). Other oversight is no random player start order but it seems another update is shortly forthcoming so both of these may be tweaked.
Thereâs more interaction with other players than whatâs in Roll Player with the goal being to race up 6 scoring tracks. These have a couple levels of reducing intermediate benefits with a final varying benefit at the top of each track (baring 1) which can be increased or decreased by certain die options. Thereâs a certain level of screw you to the game with the ability to reduce points from opponents sitting on top of the scoring tracks while hoping the same doesnât happen to you.
Longevity? Probably about the same as Roll Player as it fits into that lighter filler category, but Iâm currently feeling like Iâm getting my moneyâs worth even though itâs sits in a higher price tier on the App Store.
