Listen! Strange people wearing masks and ruling a city as a secret council is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses! :stuck_out_tongue:

Iā€™m going camping over the next three days so if I have bad reception and donā€™t take my turn, rest assured that I will be taking it as soon as Iā€™m home. Weā€™ve been moving at a good pace and I donā€™t want to hinder it too bad.

Well, that epic move didnā€™t workā€¦.

I put a bunch of corruption on a tile, and the shifted @Caradog token on tyere to make him pick them upā€¦.and it didnā€™t work!!!

Haha, yeah, I was wondering what was going to happen there.

I had wondered! Iā€™m also intrigued to find out if that your new-found respectability might be enough to win

Oh, man. I felt good going into the last turn knowing Iā€™d score 40 but @Caradog stole the win with an equally strong final turn. Close game all around. GG!

I think it was the final extra go because of being moved to the harbour that made the difference - got doubly lucky with that. Just one more building and you would have had that on the tiebreak. Good game :slightly_smiling_face:

One more buildingā€¦like the one that one of you stole early before you knew my lord? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I had to take first player early every round after that.

I think that was me who stole the building

I was super tilted when you mandatory quested me early @Mirefox because I thought we were trying to down the king!

Great game

Ah, I didnā€™t even consider this KotH; I think I just went after the points leader and to be honest, it was a coin flip. I think I only had 2 intrigue cards and one of them gave me zero benefit so I felt forced into playing an early mandatory quest when I wasnā€™t planning on it.

And as King Caradog III defends the crown, another challenger steps up to try to take it off his head. Next up will be @JMH.75 who will be challenging a game of one of the following from @Caradogā€™s list:

Le Havre
Concordia
Viticulture
Sagrada
Wingspan
Lords of Waterdeep
Castles of Burgundy

Please let us know what the challenge is and I will let you know who the 3rd player is.

could you find out what exactly happened?
seems a massive (game-destroying) bug :man_shrugging:
didnā€™t it decide the outcome in an illegal way?
or was Caradog protected by any legal means?

It seems to have worked okay - I would have picked up the corruption (and resources) that were piled up on that space if Iā€™d used the action available. As it was, I had no intrigue cards left so this wasnā€™t an option. However, I got to reallocate the agent at the end of the round in the usual way for an extra action, which fortunately made playing the last quest much less fraught.

I thought you would pick up all the token not for taking the action, but for putting your token there.

But you might be right on needed to take the action to pick up the item

This one has come up repeatedly in various forums.

Manipulate (the Intrigue card that lets you reassign another playerā€™s Agent) says the other player CAN take the action. They can choose not to.

Taking an action is what gets you any extra tokens (good or bad) on the space.

Itā€™s just a bit confusing because moving another playerā€™s Agent breaks the normal rule that an Agent can only be placed if you can take the action.

bumping for @JMH.75

Thanks!

Ultimately it wouldnā€™t have won me the game, but it was a pretty cool attempt
