King of the Hill - Multi-Game - 3-Player - League

yeah, a sort function (by name/by date) is surely needed.
or games should be deleted by the server after maybe 60 days or so.

notifications seem to be down. i guess the license has expired again.
we must keep looking into the game once each day (Decathlon standard).

@Hardco, it’s your turn now.

you started yesterday?

yup.
made my first turn yesterday, after Caradog’s turn, and had not been notified.

Ah, sorry - would have given you a nudge if I’d realised notifications weren’t working

@kennfusion - I’d like to join the list too if there’s room for another.

Games would be;

Brass
Yellow & Yangtze
Sagrada
Castles of Burgundy
Terraforming Mars (I know, everyone has inexplicably forgotten TfM.)
Root

ball is back to entrepreneur @Hardco

…and with you now @JammaTal

@Hardco is :on:

Just checking in, how is the game progressing?

very good progress. we’re already in railroad era turn 8/10.
it’s a great and very enjoyable game.
consistently strong moves by my both opponents.
Caradog must be a very experienced Brass player, and Hardco has already improved his play significantly.
will be no shame when i cross the finish line in 3rd place.

I was going to write a note to thank @kennfusion for creating this thread. Genuinely haven’t played Brass for years now and still might not have if not for seeing it on other people’s lists. The decathlon’s great for trying new-to-me games but irrespective of the result I’ve really enjoyed this game with you, relearning how to play and remembering why I liked Brass :slightly_smiling_face:

All done, gg.

And Caradog is the new King! Congrats!

The next challenger is @Mirefox. Please challenge Caradog to one of the games on his list, it does not need to be on yours. Here they are:

Le Havre
Brass
Viticulture
Sagrada
Wingspan
Lords of Waterdeep
Castles of Burgandy

@JammaTal and @Hardco, please let me know if you would like to make any changes to your lists.

no changes to my list. (or could i change it to Brass, Brass, Brass and Brass?)

and to do justice to our finished game: the photo above doesn’t show the final score.
here it is:

Caradog - yellow
Jamma - red
Hardco - purple

congratulations to Caradog for a well played convincing win!
congrats to Hardco for a top level Brass performance! improve mission accomplished.
(better stop further improvement now. it’s good enough.)
i’d love to play it again with both of you. it was a great pleasure.
Brass is such an outstanding game!

Well, I don’t understand the game at all but I really really want to, so I’ll pick Brass, knowing that I’ll lose but hoping that I learn.

it’s of utmost importance that your industries are activated and that you try to score them twice.
you can do that by building level 2 factories, mines and ports in era 1 (and of course activating them).
they will be scored at end of era 1 and will stay on the board to be scored again at the end of era 2.

(just in case you’re not sure about what ‘activating’ means: ports must be used for shipping, cotton mills must sell their cotton, coal and iron mines must sell all their coal and ore.)

I’ve watched tutorials, played the tutorial, read the rules, etc. I think this is one of those cases where the information as presented to me just isn’t clicking as a digital game and it might be completely different if I played at the table. But Im always willing to struggle a bit to learn.

Ok, so @Mirefox challenges @Caradog to Brass, and the third wheel in this game will be @geigerm, who is next on the list with Brass.

@Mirefox please setup the game, and let me know once it has begun.
