The process of porting to mobile.
I know it can sound a bit dry, but there are a lot of technical and design sensibilities involved. The ports we've seen range from so brilliant they improve the original experience (FTL, through some quite subtle changes), to good to competent (Invisible Inc., XCOM), or rough (Qvadriga, before it was fixed) to unplayable (Sid Meier's Colonization).
Talking to lots of people might be a bit arduous, but maybe seeing how one of the specialist firms do it could be cool. Blitworks did the Invisble Inc. ports, for example.
