StatelyCon I: 2018?

What would that actually look like? And Dave feel free to edit the name.

GenCon started 50 years ago in a basement in Wisconsin.

So when are you going to invite us all over for a game, Dave?

It would look drunken.

Old and drunken.

I hadn’t actually thought of it as a possibility, but I do have a basement and am in Wisconsin, which is all you need to eventually have a huge con…

hmmm

Should we time it to overlap with this? Lumberjacking by day and board games by night? And should I try to get Monty Python to perform? http://www.lumberjackworldchampionships.com

Anyone live near Rochester, NY? I could host a game night.

Just say Canada, call it what it is

If I’m driving to Rochester, NY it would have to more of a “long game weekend” instead of a “game night”.

I guess technically Rochester and Brooklyn are in the same state…

Technically, but my friends from upstate NY always treat NYC as its own “state” …

I’m in northern NJ and the only thing I consider NY is NYC… everything else is Canada. Or Connecticut, at the very least.

Except for Staten Island, as I consider that part of NJ.

Think you said that wrong - they consider themselves part of NJ, but we don’t want them.

I’ll book the $2000 flight today if we can get this to the table

I think if I were ever to host a con, two things:

  1. The mementos of the event, provided to every participant, would be cloth napkins embroidered with the Stately Play logo.
  2. I’d probably want to attend a con first.
