I have been - but realized I didn’t click “stay logged in”.
Have done now, will keep an eye out
no iOS push notifications.
but email notifications worked 100% reliably in our test game.

Strangely there is a box to check in the online settings to enable notifications but every time I come back into the game it is unchecked.
iirc that checkbox was always a tease

Yes, sorry, I neglected to mention that email notifications are the way to go for Steam - or a private thread here, on Discord, via carrier pigeon, etc… 
If I have games with borked notifications, I try to make a point of just checking in on them when I get notifications in other games. Annoying, yes, but my best solution so far.
