I see @Hardco @Caradog and @Notsew12345 are doing their best to nudge each other along via Stately Play messages so please keep that up - notifications in Wingspan are not very helpful!
Realistically, we won’t start the next game until later this month anyway due to some summer vacation I have coming up, but if you guys can get wrapped up ASAP that would be much appreciated!

Great game! Competition was fierce for the bonus objectives - and I gambled on my third to final cube with a European Turtle Dove into a Forrester bonus card that net me 4 points.

I set up the Raven and the Gull in the prairie in the first round and then just laid eggs and played birds for the rest of the game. When the cards go that way, I don’t think there is much that can be done about it. Good game all!

Hi everyone! Apologies for the delay here - I’ve been off grid on vacation.
Well, we have made it to the halfway point of the Decathlon after only 8 months ( ) - obviously this has not been a pandemic year where nobody had anything to do but sit at home and play games!
If you’re curious about the standings so far, here’s the Google Sheet:
Congrats to @Baelnor for reaching the top of the leader board so far!
You may also note that I awarded @jason1002 and @js619 each 2 points since we don’t have the data to break their tie in Wingspan. As it turns out, they would be ranked the same at this point regardless, so I think that’s ok.

Ok, without further ado, our next game is Raiders of the North Sea - suprisingly, this game is new to the Decathlon this year, despite the generally good implementation and it’s being ranked #84 in Strategy on Board Game Geek.
I can’t guarantee you’ll be humming Wagner or binge-watching “Vikings” on Netflix after this, but you will definitely have a taste for pillaging and resource balancing!
