I’ve played it in real life. It is a good and challenging solo game. Played it a few times then went through the campaign. (I believe the last scenario is possible, but I gave up after multiple tries.) The mechanics of the game are good and every choice is important. While it is a sort of deck builder, realize that your deck will not be getting stronger. You will be slowly whittling away your coven to try to complete the game before getting overwhelmed. Or at least that was how I experienced the game. Wins are not easy, but then they feel good. If I hadn’t played through the real game, I would have bought the iOS version.
I’m not a real-life journalist, and I haven’t been an official spokesman for Playdek in almost 7 years now.
But I thought some of you might enjoy my latest project. MLB the Show Mobile is now available for iOS and Android phones. Free to download and give it a try. Probably only worthwhile if you have at least a passing interest in baseball. We’ve added in some TCG mechanics that should be appealing to those who frequent this site.
The Canvas board game has an app out by the same people that made the Role Player app.
Yeah, I picked it up on Android and have enjoyed it. Runs well, tutorial was good. Same content as the physical game.
The Uprising expansion just recently released on iOS.
I fired up Indian Summer for the ladder and noticed under their “other games” section that they have listed Voidfall. I don’t know Voidfall but im usually happy to see new euros released on iOS so that I can at least give them a try. Digidiced is a little sketchy when it comes to both presentation and tutorials but I’m usually willing to stick with it when it comes to their releases.
Having been in the business myself for a while, I’m intrigued by the apps different studios / developers come out with…
Digidiced also has “Cottage Garden” - which on tabletop came out before “Indian Summer” - but I don’t see “Spring Meadow” which is the third part of a so-called trilogy of puzzle games from Rosenberg.
Then there’s the fact that they have released a couple of “counter” (scoring calculator) apps but not the actual games…
