GG @Caradog - I screwed up and thought I had one more turn to lay a 5pt bird that was water only which would have also got me 3 pts for end of game card. The problems with playing while traveling. I think I missed a turn somewhere. But GG and a close one either way.

Yeah, I hoped that finally laying eggs in the last two turns for 2nd place for the final round goal would be enough to get over the line but fully expected you to pull something out of the bag. Turns out lucky rolls for my predators were the difference in the end, it seems.
Did the lack of wheat in the first round cause you problems too? Seemed to take an age to be able to actually play some birds…

@Baelnor egged me to death. After the second round, there was no doubt. I’d be fried, scrambled and people would yolk about me. Grats to @Baelnor on a really great score. Gg!

Great game!
The Pileated woodpecker + Canvasback was an explosive start, where I could take food and get two eggs at the same time - and more often than not you couldn’t get the leech because your barn swallow was full 
Oh and the fact my Mississippi Kit hit, like, 5 times, showed how hot my luck was

I managed to snag a few star best birds that helped with round goals.

GG! Yes, that made the difference. I was able to build a great forest engine very early with the Wood Duck and an egg laying woodpecker, but had a tough time drawing enough star nest birds to keep up in the end of round goals.
