I don’t mind picking them up at all, just the symbols don’t tell you what sets they are, so I did not know what to buy

Anyone have a list of keywords/mechanics to refer to for this game?
It’s not the quick way of doing things, but in the app options there is a card gallery. I sometimes find myself searching out sets and mechanics there.
I can see you have already bought it. Good start on your game there. 
Sorry, it was not my intention to make you buy anything! I would’ve been fine playing any other expansion you have, honestly. I assumed it was enough if one of us owned the expansion.
If it is any kind of consolation, both expansions are my favorite currently
Not exhaustive and just going off the top of my head-
Events are in SoS and IH and have an ongoing effect when they are drawn; the effect stays in play until a new event is drawn from the deck. It’s possible to not have an event in play.
Soul Gems are one and done cards - some cards will grant you a soul gem; once played, it goes back to the soul gem discard pile.
Unite, play a card of the same color and X happens.
Similarly, multi-unite, every time you play the same color X will happen over and over as long as you keep playing the same color cards (ie, banish a card every time you play a void card - if I play four void cards, I’ll banish four cards)
Echo, have a card of the same color in your discard and X happens
Transform, meet whatever criteria and X happens
Fate, X happens when this card enters the center row (sometimes Y must happen for X to occur, ie, energy under the card)
energize, X occurs if Y energy was played BEFORE the card was played (or during your turn in the case of constructs) [found in RoV and DU]
empower, do X when you acquire the card from the center row
serenity do X if there are NO cards in your discard (rngeesus at his best right here)

Staying in this league, I fully intend to buy them all eventually I guess. I wish I could explain why I am only buying them as I go…but I have no good answer.

IIRC the iOS version has bundles?
Yeah, but for some reason I already had like 1 set in each bundle so it was already a problem. It’s all good.

Dawn of Champions, I believe.
It is entirely possible that I am missing a couple of repeats somehow (I kept the same bracket and just removed @feederofgoats (though if you want to come back in you can certainly join and play through the backlog
