Fine by me.
Too funny, I had the highest Terraform rating I’ve ever had (at least 45), highest VPs (30+), fair amount of cities and lotsa Greeneries. Lol. But I’m sure the others had lotsa stuff too,

I haven’t played much TfM. Shouldn’t I have the opportunity to at least look at the cards I’m offered before having to choose which of the two corporations to play with???
Your choice of corporation (and Prelude cards) are not final. So you can choose a corp, choose some Prelude cards, see your initial 10 cards, think about life and apps, then go back and start again if so desired.

Thanks for the heads up, @robthomasson. May not do much good as I just found a comment on the Geek that my Mining Guild and Phobolog are amongst the three worst to start with. Lol.

In this context, BGG commentator is very wrong. Both corps are (differently) contextual but very much not amongst the worst.

So, this bug that can break games? Well, good news! We know about it! Also it might not break your game!
Take a lot of BGG comments with a grain of salt. For whatever reason, a lot of players have taken up TFM and promptly pretended no-one has played it before them, when we actually have years of play data to call on.
There’s a bunch of good tier lists and discussions around, including stuff like this where you can easily see a respectable variety of answers, because even a ‘bad’ corp can get great results.

Kind of like how no end games scores is “a known bug” that has blasted for years. It’s a testament to the game that we put up with this.
So, can this fix the broken game?
They’ve told me it’s not a “bug,” just a (stupid, IMHO) design decision that would take more than just a bug fix to change.
Also, my Steam auto-updated the game and I could still get into my tournament game, so maybe (fingers crossed) that means that updating won’t mess things up?
