Red Planet Blues: a Terraforming Mars tournament

Sorry my mistake! I think I took half a turn and then tried to undo like in the olden days of the app (which doesn’t work anymore), but I forgot to get back in to finish it.

I had same issue as you previously and just assumed server was down for a bit

Turns taken now.

I wondered about that … but both times I could get into my other game. So :man_shrugging:

Anyroadup… notification received and turn taken …

People in the epic versions chat room are having the same issue I’m having - the resume button is greyed out.

It seems the epic version has be updated to 1.4.2.12161-beta. I assume that’s the same version that’s just been uploaded to TestFlight. I’m of the understanding that the regular iOS version has not been updated yet.

Oh good, an update. How marvellous. I’m sure it won’t break existing games. Asmodee is so good at this kind of thing.

Fellow epic players might want to make sure auto update is turned off.

When I get home I’ll see if downloading the iOS version lets me finish the game

I couldn’t find a way to roll back the epic update.

I did end up buying the game on iOS which allowed me to continue the game.

Pretty scummy marketing tactic of asmodee to wait until the end of a nail biting game to break the game for me, but it worked. That’s the first iOS game I’ve bought in ages, and I already own it in two other digital forms lol

let’s hurry up!
because TfM updates usually break running games, and we must update to be able to connect to the server.
so it’s a race against time. me must finish our games before the iOS update hits.

Strange, I just got a notification it was my turn in the game I am in, but it is not.

Quick check-in: how are all the games doing? Hopefully none have succumbed to a game-breaking update.

Nearly done here.

Table D almost there, once @Snotty128 has finished racking up VPs we’ll be placing greenery

Table F is on Gen 4 I think, so slow going.

Gg everyone. An excellent challenging game with blisteringly fast play

I did wonder why you both let my vp engine run for so long. I stalled in gen 9 to make sure you’d spend enough that you were unlikely to finish terraforming. In gen 10 I grabbed as many terraforming points from lake placement etc as I figured you would rush to finish the game. I wasn’t expecting to see gen 11, so I kept cranking out the points

Well, partly I had better rewards from playing the few vp cards I had than I would have got from building aquifers, partly I was already a distant third by that point, mostly didn’t realise just how much you were going to rack up over the last couple of rounds. Still very much learning.

Given other table(s) are on early generations, would be happy to fill the wait with another game if you and @JammaTal want to go around again for fun?

sorry, i’m totally overcommitted.
playing in two Gaia Projects, TTA, Neuroshima Hex, Eclipse, two CIV6 MP games, Warhammer40k: Tacticus, Rivengard, Legend of Solgard, Octopath Traveller, Hero Emblems 2 and Fantasian.
i’m glad that we finished TfM so fast.

I’d be up for a interim game if we can find a third player who’ll take a few moves a day

@Hardco you are up for greenery conversion
