Liking your post seems insufficient, good luck to you and your family.
Really sorry to hear man, hope your family comes through it ok. My mother-in-law was hospitalized a few weeks back and it thankfully was exactly what she needed—I hope your mom has a similarly positive outcome.
Damn, that sucks. Wishing them all the best.
What they all said … may your family be strong …
Damn, that’s tough. Best wishes to all your family, and a speedy recovery all round
Thanks all for the well wishes… sister and her wife seem to be ok, just some congestion. Mom has a high fever, fatigue, loss of taste and smell, etc. Dad claims he feels fine but could just be the stiff upper lip.
This is about 20 minutes from my house! Hooray!
Good luck, man. Hope everything turns around.
That’s alright mate, over here we’re about one news cycle away from finding out the government is tipping millions of vaccine doses into the sea because they don’t want us getting lax.
So, no community transmission in Western Australia for 9 months, super tight border control, essential FiFO worker…
And now, compulsory face masks in the plane to get to work.
Well, I suppose I should offer the airline staff support to sack anyone that doesn’t comply. Civic duty and all…
I feel squeamish about hitting ‘like’ on bad news. Sending the best wishes to your family.
I hope everyone recovers swiftly, especially your mother. How terrifying!
Reassuring.
IN LOCAL NEWS: We’ve got snow, which a lot of Yorkshire residents consider to be wholly imaginary.
I expect this to be unhelpful combined with our ongoing pandemic and food supply woes.
Or “please don’t sue us into oblivion for everything we said about you before, during and after the election”.
That’s an interesting website, fcvo “interesting”. Is that representative of the right in the US? If so I’d be treating any calls for unity with a shitty stick.
American Thinker’s pretty far right. I’m sure there are some sensible Republicans, but they’re staying quiet.
I feel like “sensible” Republicans pre-Trump faced the risk of primary challenges from people on the far right, and now they’re facing death threats because they’re “traitors” to their party, according to the loudest voices out there.
I’d like to believe that the super far right lunatics are a minority, but it’s really hard to tell at this point. Both parties keep coming up with increasingly fringe candidates–“working across the aisle” means you’re not left or right enough for some. Makes me nuts.
Don’t worry, the far left will just fight with the Biden administration and fracture over the next four years. There won’t be any “working across the spectrum” on either side of the aisle.
I agree completely. I feel like most people are pretty centrist, but fewer and fewer of our elected representatives are, at least at the national level. We need a “middle of the road” party.
