Hero Academy 2 opens its doors

Hero Academy 2 is out on App Store!
The original was a decent game so this one is definitely on the worth checking out list.

a shift from async to real-time.
FTP IAP pay-to-win?

Well I guess that sounds quite possible but I haven’t had time yet to be able to confirm. Or deny.
My enjoyment of the previous incarnation was from playing with my son and working through the puzzle scenarios, so the FTP IAP model wasn’t an issue.
Apologies if I’ve flagged a lemon in HA2-

for me personally the transformation to a real-time game is a heavy loss.
but i will give it a try,
just out of appreciation for the original it was good that you flagged it.

now let’s hope for the best.

I think “real time” might throw some people off. I have no idea why they used that terminology.

The PvP is live, not asynchronous. But it’s not “real time” at all – it’s completely turn-based.

The game is really, really good, overall. Tons of campaigns, challenges, and tutorials are available before there’s any need to play a PvP match.

yes, the devs came up with that terminology in app description.
(“Fight real-time PVP arena battles.”)
i’m glad that it wasn’t just my fault.
