Dominion transition

Just got this email yesterday, seems like interesting gaming news, even though we knew it was in the works.

Dominion
Thank you for playing Making Fun’s version of Dominion. Our license expires on December 31, 2016, after which our version of Dominion will cease to operate (see: Terms of Services).

A new version of Dominion is slated to launch on January 1, 2017. All current players will receive accounts in the new system. For players who have made purchases (but not subscriptions), Donald X. Vaccarino, Rio Grande Games and the new developer promised to honor your spending with free items in the new version. To do this we must provide them with your account data including email address and purchasing history. (We do not store payment information.) All registered players who do nothing should receive a welcome email from the new developer with information on how to access the new version of Dominion.

If you do not wish to have an account in the new Dominion system you may opt out of the data transfer and we will not provide your data to the new developer. PLEASE SUBMIT A REQUEST USING THIS LINK BY DECEMBER 15, 2016 IF YOU DO NOT WISH US TO PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION TO THE OPERATORS OF THE NEW DOMINION SERVICE. Players who have made purchases and opt out of the data transfer will not receive free materials in the new version of Dominion.

As a thank you for supporting our version of Dominion we would like to offer you a pile of free virtual currency in our hit action role-playing game, Eternium: Mage and Minions, available for phones, tablets and Windows PCs (link: www.EterniumGame.com). Simply install the game, register with this same email address, and enter promotion code DOMINION. All Dominion players will receive at least $10 in free Gems, with people who bought sets receiving up to $100 in Gems.

On behalf of the entire team, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season and a joyful new year.

John Welch
CEO, Making Fun

FunSockets/Goko/Making Fun is, without question, the biggest joke in the short history of mobile gaming. No one else even comes close.

And let’s all take a second to remember when BGG/164 jumped the shark and essentially provided free PR for the company:

What an unmitigated disaster all around.
