This is great because I think the one thing any deck building game suffers from is lack of variety. Even though the order the cards are drawn varies, any vanilla deck builder starts to feel samey because you feel like you just keep seeing the same cards. Maybe someone will disagree but I think card pool variety makes every single deck builder better.

Agree. The insane card mix in Ascension is a good example, to the extent that you start to dilute card synergies if you play with too many of the decks, but it stays fresh. Case in point, @Blackfyre and I have been playing approximately infinity games with the same set of decks and no one has asked for a change yet (although given my current losing streak…)
