I can’t speak to Root, but other Dire Wolf games have worked like this in the past.
There can be lots of combat. Particularly people bashing the vagabond early and often, crushing early sympathy, and vagabonds sniping and killing buildings/tokens for bonus points. Each building/token/wood is worth points of you remove it, so there’s lots of points to be had by combat.
Maybe the meta of this group hasn’t quite got there yet
I don’t see it. Is it full? If so anyone up for another?
It’s started with @Zebracadabra, @whovian223 and @Hardco. I wonder if there was some lag while it still showed as open.
Oh look, I drew Vagabond again.
Edit: speaking of which, @geigerm - I think you’re up in our game with @Snotty128 and @irishdomer08
So, eyrie strategy question: I am quickly running low on warrior pieces and I presume if I run out of pieces I will fail my decrees and go into turmoil, correct? Does it make sense to purposefully lose some fights to help fulfill my battle decrees and keep my warrior supply filled?
Throws those birds into battle. You will fall into turmoil if you can’t recruit. Are you running the charismatic leader? ( I think that’s the one that recruits 2 birds per recruit action) Falling into turmoil that way is certainly a weakness of that leader. I guess unless it’s a planned turmoil…get all your units on the board very fast, turmoil, then strike out as a new leader
Totally agree with @Snotty128. If you have a recruit decree and you are running out of warriors, send them into battle! Even battles where you don’t have the odds of winning mean that you will get new warriors to recruit.
Yes. It is my first time playing eyrie and I chose that stupid eagle. Thinking maybe he’s going to be my downfall.
If it’s any consolation, first time I played eyrie at the table, I did the same. Came in second too
Created a new game with password sp
Is that one full yet!
I’m in for another Root if one is starting.
And the other game with Alliance,I am winning. Weird,
Anyway, gg all, I’d love to play again.
I am too.
I created a game. Password sp1.
and now to the Eyrie (though I can’t remember who that is…but you should have received a notification!)
Edit The email function seems to be fixed! I’m getting emails when somebody responds to me.
