Iāll join, though Iām honestly struggling with this game. There is some weird disconnect between me knowing the rules but not being able to properly view the game state in a way that makes sense to me. I donāt know if that explanation makes sense.

I have been discussing the game with ClaudeAI recently - my brain wants to play it as if it were Zoolareto, but it is clearly not. But I keep trying hoping it will click.

I initially imagined that you were playing with the AI as though it was Zooloretto, and I was kind of digging that.
@Mirefox , Iām completely on board with that. I had one game where everything fell into place, and it felt like I always had something good to do and was never short of money. It was tragic, because ever since, every other time I play feels like being a caveman playing Zork. I think I need to play it in person sometime, because I suspect part of what Iām missing is some sense of the flow of money, tickets, reputation, and green shields, and the various rewards that those produce.
I remember feeling similarly in Terraforming Mars for a while, and eventually felt like I was able to plan around taking advantage of the bonuses you got at certain points as you went up each track (itās been long enough that Iāve lost this, now, but I had it once!). But that iPad version did a great job of keeping the tracks and their rewards visible at all times. I find that, with most iPad games, what I canāt see from my default view, I almost never check. For example, I never look at other playersā tableaus; I know Iād be able to play better if I did, but it doesnāt seem worth the bother. My fear is that, with Ark Nova, opening the green shield tray covers a bit of the map, so I never do it. Iām generally much more cognizant of the reputation track, because itās always right there.
when you activate auto-camera nothing will ever cover a bit of the map.
you can open/close all subscreens. when at auto-map the map size will adapt.
income/money flow: when you tap on the tiny hand icon in the status bar you can see income details of every player you have chosen to spectate.

Do you have to have the Asia marker from the āZoo associationā rather than from other animals?

i first thought the Macaque card might want an Asia partner zoo and only suffers from a display glitch but no.
i have an Asia partner zoo but red flag stays.
