The latest update seems to have cleared up all the MP issues, and all the stale games. Perhaps it is stable enough to play a tournament now?

There is another update to Potion Explosion that is supposed to make switching games easier. Iā€™ve not had a chance to try it yet.

MP is functioning fine now, and itā€™s a very appealing game.

async MP plays and feels like solitaire though.
without log or replay we get not the slightest idea what might have happened in opponentsā€™ turns :pensive:
but thatā€™s a minor plaint and no reason to not play a tourney :smirk:

this quote from Neumanniumā€™s Race for the Galaxy article is a perfect fit for Potion Explosion as well:
ā€œone of the games to coin the phrase Multiplayer Solitaire. Still, playing your (hand)/turn skillfully is quite the puzzle to unravel and should give (strategy and) tactics lovers a go for their money.ā€

i think @AtticusJr and two more friends might want to join.

with 8 players we could play on two 4P tables as preliminaries.
top two players of each table going to final table.
the other players could play a losersā€™ round.

i would say letā€™s get started with a fast and easy approach.
we can think about something new in the next one, like roundrobin group phase with 1vs1 games? or a series of 3P games with mixed setups?

does PE randomize the player sequence? i think so, right?
then it would not matter who creates the game.
itā€™s easy to add new players to the buddy list.
who wants to do it for table 1?
i have all table 2 players on my list and so can start the game right away.

I can start up Table 1. I just sent out BL invites to KYakerDude and johnl in PE. Let me know if either of you use different usernames in PE. Once weā€™re all on each otherā€™s lists, Iā€™ll start the match.

In PE, you just need to a person to your BL, no need to accept a buddy invite. So go ahead and send the game invite.

Crap, I screwed that up. I just sent out two game invites. An invite to johnl instead of john_1325 in one of them, but the other invite should be correct.

we had problems some time ago (before the last patch) when not all players could see the invitation. thatā€™s why i ask.
