Thanks! Game on!
Ah - I had moved but not confirmed the move redone, thanks for the prompt.
Coming down to the wire at Table 2… if my math is correct, @SpiceTheCat will beat me on Silverlings by 4 points… it was a fantastic game!
Not for me it wasn’t!
Table 2 complete - congrats to @SpiceTheCat!
Lots of points and strong finishes from everyone (even @Hardco )
Good game!
How’s Table 1 doing here? Not that I’m in a huge rush since we are playing CoB in the Decathlon now…
Just started Round E, JammaTal in the box-seat
the Decathlon CoB event is over soon.
will the final start then?
title of this thread is 2nd SP CoB championship, but that had been won by @robthomasson. so what event is this exactly?
as we lifted off with a hasty start so that title defender robthomasson and finalist @zen4one had no chance to join, i would suggest MSI '22 (Mid Season Invitational, just like the League of Legends event between Worlds).
i will organize the 3rd SP CoB Trophy of Glory 2023 championship in next year.
Oops, sorry. I need to start the final found. I was not actually waiting, I have just been traveling and missed that I am supposed to start it.
This was technically supposed to be the 3rd SP CoB championship, we just used the 2nd thread to continue.
Sorry for the delay and thanks for pinging this @JammaTal
Time for the final round:
@SpiceTheCat
@Codington
@JammaTal
@Caradog
@SpiceTheCat since you had the highest score amongst both games, would you be so kind as to setup the game and get it going?
Game started. Choose your châteaux, gentlemen.
If there’s another tournament, I would love to play.
sorry, Kenn, but i think a website championship should have a decent sign-up period of 5-7 days in an own thread, and should notify and ask the finalists of the last championship if they wanted to join.
but three of the four 2nd championship finalists (robthomasson, jason1002 and zen4one) weren’t able to join because of a hasty start.
so i think we shouldn’t call this event “SP championship”.
what about “End of the Year 2022 Tourney” or “Xmas Event”?
(btw we should think about something like an “official” guideline for SP site championships. what do you think, @rinelk?)
I’ve interacted with tournaments here little enough that I don’t think my views ought to carry much weight. I’m delighted they happen, though, so I hope that people make choices about their structure and naming which feel supportive and inclusive, so the culture of these tournaments remains lively for many years.
Yes, it was a hasty start. I wasn’t reading this thread in September when it started. Please include me on the next one.
