Excellent! I have created a new game with the password “Big” for @JHTaube and @Mirefox.

That’s a wrap! Great game - the cards fell into my lap early and I ended up getting an association on all three starting projects, plus some more.
31 turn finish seemed like a quick end!
That was a bit of a blowout…
Well played! 31 is on the faster side, but not unusually fast.
GG to you both and credit due to @Baelnor but also bad luck and a couple of mistakes on my part made it a tough one for me. This is the finishing order I was expecting though, regardless! ![]()
Ready for the next “season” whenever!
Let’s go again for fun while we wait. It may be awhile…
I am in
congratulations to first SP Ark Nova Champion and Cup winner @Baelnor ![]()
plz choose your icon for the line of honor.
@Hardco will stay in premier league
@Codington must step down to 2nd division.
Added Mandatory Malus to the rematch just to see what that’s like (and maybe to slow @Baelnor down a bit…
)
- does that icon work for y’all?
I would like to join the league at lowest level. Not played a single game so far, but looking forward to learn the game while playing ![]()
@HolstenKnight is the first entry on the new waiting list.
he will go up to 3rd division in next season.
last player in 3rd division has to go down to the waiting list then.
should one more player join we will start a 4th division with a 2P game.
How hard is this game to learn? I’d consider jumping in at this point if I’m not going to be completely lost—considered buying it for a while now and it’s on sale.
Terraforming Mars-level difficult to learn, maybe.
I feel like Terraforming Mars is a good comparison for the rules and structure. How things all fit together into a good strategy felt more legible to me in TM. I feel like AN gives me some great games and some terrible ones, and I still don’t totally know what makes that happen other than convenient card draws.
Which makes me suspect I’m either too bound to certain strategies or inadequately making use of the card draw options, but I’m still feeling that out.
The 5 actions and power of action make sense pretty quickly - even factoring in levelling up 3 or 4 of the actions, IMO. The nuance that makes it a journey (which most of us seem to love) is that every game is different because there are so many cards and synergies to explore.
PS. One massive hint I got early on was this: the game is a race, not a leisurely stroll towards making the perfect zoo. ![]()
Thanks all, I’m willing to learn the game the hard way. Count me in. Traveling all of today so I won’t be able to start right away, but I think I’m looking forward to the experience. ![]()
great! so we have a 4th division now.
a good fit for the upcoming 2P game because i know that @HolstenKnight has never played AN before either.
3rd player in 3rd division will go down to 4th division and winner of the 2P 4th divison game will go up.
i’d say Holsten should create a game when next season starts.
2nd division game is close to finish line btw.
